Love V.S. Wrath episode 6

Sandra: Hello!

Danny: I'd like to tell you about why I'm doing this show. Ruth heard a sermon about the wrath of God and she wants to make sure everyone knows there are two sides over God.

Ruth: And we have Peter on our show today

Peter: Hello.

Ruth: I hear your going to tell us what you wrote in 1 Peter 5:7

Peter: I am indeed. I said "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

Peter: And I get the honors of introducing Micah the prophet.

Micah: Hi!

Ruth: Will you tell us what you said in Micah 5:15

Micah: I will.

Peter: Cool.

Micah: I will take vengeance in anger and wrath upon the nations that have not obeyed me.

Sandra: Bye everyone!

Micah- Wait!

Ruth- What?

Micah- I've watched this show before and it's always long than this.

Danny- What are you talking about?

Ruth- It's fine Micah.

Sandra- Bye!

Love V.S. Wrath episode 5

Danny: I'm glad to be well again. I'm back people! And now I hand the microphone to Ruth Ackiv, our host of this wonderful show.

Ruth: Thank you Danny. I'm glad your back.

Danny: I'm glad to be back too.

Ruth: I'd like to tell you why I'm doing this show. I heard I sermon about the wrath of God, and the preacher said that most people only talk about God's love, while God also has Wrath.

Danny: Good to hear from you, Ruth. And Sandra has also got some stuff you should hear.

Sandra: Hey Y'all. We've got two all-new guests joining us today and though David said he was done with our talk show, his son Solomon is here with us today.

Solomon: Hi everybody! I have worked really hard to memorize the... reference that the verse I wrote is in. I'm told it's in Proverbs 8:1, but if it's not, blame Sandra and not me.

Sandra: Well that's very nice of you.

Solomon: Really, cause...

Sandra: It's called being sarcastic.

Solomon: Ok...Well, what my verse says is this:  I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me.

Sandra: Nicely done.

Solomon: And next is Jeremiah.

Jeremiah: I am ashamed now that I realize I should have memorized my verse's...

Solomon: Reference.

Jeremiah: Yeah. Well, I'll need Sandra to say it for me.

Sandra: It's Jeremiah 7:20

Jeremiah: And this is what I put there: Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: My anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground, and it will burn and not be quenched.

Ruth: Thank you to are all-new guests who have come to this show.

Danny: Bye-bye for now!

Love V.S. Wrath episode 4

Eston: Danny is still out sick, but I was able to attended a dress rehearsal,  and I hope today will run smoothly. Welcome to the show. Ruth, have something to tell us?

Ruth: Yes, Erston. I sure do. I'd like to tell you why I'm doing this show. I heard I sermon about the wrath of God, and the preacher said that most people only talk about God's love, while God also has Wrath.

Eston: And you have something to say too, Sandra.

Sandra: Yes, I do. I'd like to welcome David yet again to our show.

David: I hate to admit it, but I'm getting a little tired of the celebrity life, I think I'm gonna sit back and be a king and not a guest star on a talk show.

Sandra: But we need you this episode, maybe next time we'll get someone else.

David: That'd be nice, but for now, I'm here to tell you about what I wrote in Psalm 9:9

Sandra: Very nicely put.

David: Thank you. What I wrote there is this: The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And I've heard that Isaiah is coming on too.

Sandra: Yes, he is. And I'd like for him to come on out.

Isaiah: How do you do?

Sandra: Let's give Isaiah a big welcome .

Isaiah: Sandra, I really don't know where my verse was written because I wrote my scroll in an entirely different format.

Sandra: In Isaiah 9:19, you wrote...

Isaiah: By the wrath of the LORD Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; no one will spare his brother.

Eston: Wow that's mean.

Isaiah: That's how God feels about wickedness. All evil will be punished.

Ruth: Well thank you Isaiah and David.

Eston: Bye!

Love V.S. Wrath episode 3

Danny: *Cough* I'm *Sneeze* Danny *Sneeze*

Sandra: Danny get back in bed!

Eston: I'm sorry folks, Danny's sick today, but I'm taking his place, I'm new at this, but I'm told I should introduce Ruth Ackiv.

Ruth: Thank you D...Eston. The show must go on and I'd like to tell you why I'm doing this show. I heard I sermon about the wrath of God, and the preacher said that most people only talk about God's love, while God also has Wrath.

Eston: Um...This was a last minute thing, I haven't had time to practice, so who ever is next, could you go ahead and start.

Sandra: Hey men and women, boys and girl and, well everyone. I'm Sandra Gills, and I'd like to introduce David.

David: Howdy folks, I'm David son of Jesse  And I wrote a song about my Lord.

Sandra: Found in Psalm 147:3

David: What she said.

Eston: And it says: He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.

David: Thanks for the help, Eston. But I've got this under control.

Eston: And now for David again.

Sandra: That's right, David's a double dipper today, He'll now tell you about God's wrath.

David: Howdy again.

Sandra: Now David, what did you write in Psalm two verses four and five?

David: I wrote about how...

Eston: Just tell us.

David: The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath.

Eston: Why would God do that?

Sandra: Eston! be quite.

David: That's a great question and I'll let you...

Sandra: I'm sorry, but we've run over time.

Ruth: See you next time!

Love V.S. Wrath episode 2

Danny: Welcome back to our show. Today we'll be having 2 verses that tell us about God's love and his wrath, but first let's cheer for the host of our show, Ruth Ackiv.

Ruth: Thank you Danny. I'd like to tell you why I'm doing this show. I heard I sermon about the wrath of God, and the preacher said that most people only talk about God's love, while God also has Wrath. Well I realized that my blog was all about God's love, but that's about to change.

Danny: Well thank you, Ruth, for telling us that, now I'd like to introduce you to Sandra.

Sandra: Hello Danny. I'm here to introduce our guest. Paul, can you come on out here?

Paul: Hello everybody...

Sandra: So I hear that today you're going to tell us about God's love
.
Paul. Yes, I am. I wrote in  1 Thessalonians 3:12 ...

Sandra: What does it say?

Paul: it says, And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.

Sandra: Well That's a wonderful verse, and I'm sure you'd like to hear what David has to say.

Paul: David! come on out!

David: Hi.

Paul: So what verse are you here to tell us about?

David: I wrote about God's wrath in a Song, my second one.

Sandra: These days, we call them Psalms.

David: I think I've heard that. Well, in...Psalms 2 verse...

Sandra: 11 and 12.

David: Well what I said was this: Serve the LORD with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. Submit to God's royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Danny: Why on earth did you write that:?

David: God is a loving God, but his anger does flare up in an instant. While Gd loves us, we have to be careful of what we do and say ad so we should serve him with fear. God is abounding in love, but he also abounds in anger.

Ruth Ackiv: Thank you for coming on my show.

Paul and David: Bye!

Love V.S. Wrath

The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it. Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him. The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, Whatever they plot against the LORD he will bring to an end.
--Nahum 1:2-7; 9

Love V.S. Wrath episode 1

Danny: Hello everyone. This is the first part of what may be a rather lengthy series on the love and wrath of God. Let's welcome our host, Ruth Ackiv.

Ruth: Thank you Danny. I'd like to tell you why I'm doing this show. I heard I sermon about the wrath of God, and the preacher said that most people only talk about God's love, while God also has wrath. Well I realized that my blog was all about God's love, but that's about to change.

Danny: Hello again, and now I introduce to you, Sandra.

Sandra: Everyone has already done the introducing for me...

Danny: It's my job!

Sandra: Did I ask? Well anyway, I get to introduce Isaiah.

Isaiah: Hi all. I'm a prophet of God and I get to share with you something about God's love, you see I had a vision where he told me all this. In my book, chapter 57...

Sandra: And verse 15.

Isaiah: I never had any verses.

Sandra: They where added.

Isaiah: Ok then...Well anyway, it says:  I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

Sandra: next, we have Moses.

Moses: Hello. I've been told I'm booked for the next show, so I'll be back again! how awesome is that?

Sandra: You're here to talk about your verse.

Moses: Right. Well in Deuteronomy...

Sandra: chapter 9, verse 19.

Moses: I could have said that.

Sandra: Continue.

Moses: It says this: I feared the anger and wrath of the LORD, for he was angry enough with you to destroy you.

Danny: Thank you Moses and Isaiah for coming to our show.

Ruth: See you next time!

The love of God

     The                                  LORD
     Almighty                     has purposed
and  who can                 thwart him? His
hand is stretched           out, and who can
turn it back? For in     love a throne will be
established; in faithfulness a man will it on
it--one from the house of David--one who
in judging seeks justice and speeds the
cause of righteousness. Even the poor-
est of the poor will find pasture,
and the needy will lie down
in safety. Isaiah
14:17; 16:
5;14:30

These verse are a good reminder of God's strength, and while the first verse was talking about how God punishes those who do wrong, it still communicates the same message to me, "God can do what he wants," and he doesn't need us to help him. But God loves us enough to establish a throne, "in love." And while we where still sinner, he died for us. Today is new years, and if you aren't a Christian, following Christ is the best resolution you could ever make.
Have a wonderful year no matter where you are on the globe.
