Cheer For The New Year

Happy new years! as we prepare for a new year, we might set a goal. my goal is to be more like Christ. if you want to be like Christ, then you need to read the bible.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2peter 1:5-8

if your a christian you need to prove it. in 1john 1:6 it says:
If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

so if you claim your a christian, you have to act like one or all of us will look like fools. so have a happy new year!

Hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Romans 8:24-25

I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
Romans 9:15

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Romans 9: 9-11, 13

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James1:2-4

More and more snow

Well, Merry Christmas. today we got back from Christmas travels. we went to see both sets of grandparents. and we made this HUGE snowman. it was bigger than my dad! well there was tons of snow there, and later I'll post a picture of it. most of the USA got some snow. were ever you are, if you had snow or not, I hope you had a great Christmas.  even though it's late I want to wish you a Merry Christmas, and a happy new year.

Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18

He (God) says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' Job 37:6

He (God) spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. Psalms 47:16

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Luke 2:10-14

Christmas is coming

Christmas is coming fast, and I'm getting busier. today we went to see the nutcracker ballet. I loved the gingerbread men, they were so cute.
If you live in America, then you've probable heard of the lunar eclipse that was last night. in revalations it says

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,
Revelation 6:12

And when the bible talks about a blood moon, it means an eclipse.

Snow

He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' Job 37:6

The bible talks a lot about snow, and I thought of some today because it's snowing at my place. one of my favorite snow verses is in Isiah

"Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18

There are many other verses in which it is describing a person like these two:

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. Mat 28:2-3

Their princes were brighter than snow and whiter than milk, their bodies more ruddy than rubies, their appearance like sapphires. Lamentations 4:7

In Psalm and Proverbs it uses snow as an example

Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool. Proverbs 26:1

Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens. Psalm 148:7-13

Have fun in some snow and remember that
though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

MERRY
CHRISTMAS
AND A HAPPY
NEW YEAR!!!

Our Sins

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

Today I thought about our sins and how it started, because you can't be a christian if you don't believe we sinned.
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Then they had sinned because in Genesis 2 God said "you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
We all are born with a sinful nature, but God helps us to not sin. Paul realized this and in a letter to the Romans he told them

For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law;

Romans 7:19-22

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Romans 1:20

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:5-6
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:23-24

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

today I read James chapter four and the last verse really stood out to me

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

It told me that, for example, if someone fell down and I knew I should help them up, but I don't, I'm sinning. it seams to say "sin is more than you think even small things are sins in Gods eyes" witch shows us that there is a message waiting to show its self, if we read our bible with a hunger to learn.

I love Christmas

I love Christmas, and most everyone does. On Saturday we set up our Christmas tree and decorated the house. and it was fun, I love cookies, chocolate covered snowballs, and candy canes. they're good, they're christmas food. but we also also need to remember Jesus. the king of the world and this is how he was born
and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.
She wrapped him in cloths
and placed him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.
(Luke 2:7)
most likely you were born in a hospital, but I doubt you were born in a stable and slept in animal food. but let's go back to the beginning, Why Jesus was born in a stable.
In those days Caesar Augustus
issued a decree that a census
should be taken of the entire Roman world.
And everyone went to his own town to register.
o Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth
in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David,
because he belonged to the house and line of David.
Read Luke chapters 1 and 2 this Christmas to discover the true meaning of Christmas. Even if you don't get everything you asked for this year you got they ultimate gift, Jesus. he is Gods son and God is the giver.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16.

but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness-for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. Romans 4:24

Merry Christmas!

in the begining

In the beginning God created
the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty,
darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
...God created the heavens and the earth... if you don't believe that then you can't believe anything else in the bible.
And God said, "Let there be light,
" and there was light.
And God said,
"Let there be an expanse between
the waters to separate water from water."
So God made the expanse and separated
the water under the expanse from the
water above it. And it was so.
And God said,
"Let the water under the sky
be gathered to one place,
and let dry ground appear." And it was so.
Then God said,
"Let the land produce vegetation:
seed-bearing plants and trees on the land
that bear fruit with seed in it,
according to their various kinds.
" And it was so.
And God said,
"Let there be lights in the expanse of
the sky to separate the day from the night,
and let them serve as signs to mark
seasons and days and years,
and let them be lights in the expanse
of the sky to give light on the earth."
And it was so.
God made two great lights--
the greater light to govern
the day and the lesser light to govern
the night. He also made the stars.
and that was the first four days of creation. then I'll skip to the sixth day, the day that god created man
Then God said,
"Let us make man
in our image,
in our likeness,
and let them rule
over the fish
of the sea
and the birds
of the air,
over the livestock,
over all the earth,
and over all the creatures
that move along the ground."
and it was so. we aren't just another creation, we're made in Gods image to rule the animal, plants, and earth. we're the babysitters left to watch Gods creations til he returns. and he made us in his image.
Then God said,
"I give you every
seed-bearing plant
on the face
of the whole earth
and every tree
that has fruit with seed in it.
They will be yours for food.
He gave man the earth, to take care of it.

And God saw every thing that he had made,
and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
