Don't Take it Lightly!

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20

As a Christian, it is your job to be an ambassador, so make sure you represent God well. You might be the only representative some non-christian ever see or ever hear from. Don't take your job lightly. As a christian, you are also God's disciple. Don't be a Hypocrite! You have chosen to follow God's will and you will become a fisher of men. One important thing to remember is that you need to make up your mind. Will you cling onto the bible and what is right, or will you let yourself slip and become like everyone else. If you've already slipped, then know that God is merciful and is ready to give you another chance to pick up you bible and spread the message of salvation to a world that desperately needs God. God has set a few expectations himself. Here is one verse that clearly states what God wants us to be.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mathew 5:13-16; 18-19

Your not just showing the  world who you are, your showing the world who God is. They have no idea what God is like and you will make a difference. Will it be for the better or for the worse?

until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law...whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
