Our Sins

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

Today I thought about our sins and how it started, because you can't be a christian if you don't believe we sinned.
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Then they had sinned because in Genesis 2 God said "you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
We all are born with a sinful nature, but God helps us to not sin. Paul realized this and in a letter to the Romans he told them

For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law;

Romans 7:19-22

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Romans 1:20

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:5-6
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:23-24

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

today I read James chapter four and the last verse really stood out to me

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

It told me that, for example, if someone fell down and I knew I should help them up, but I don't, I'm sinning. it seams to say "sin is more than you think even small things are sins in Gods eyes" witch shows us that there is a message waiting to show its self, if we read our bible with a hunger to learn.
